OpenQodex
OpenQodex
Open source pre-push code review for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Cline
Overview
OpenQodex is open source (Apache-2.0) code review that runs inside your coding agent before you push. Up to 22 built-in scanners check the lines you changed, then a separate AI reviewer, a second Claude Code or Codex process on your own login, must rule on every scanner finding. By default the agent that wrote the code does not review it. If a finding is left unanswered, the review command prints “Review incomplete” and exits 2. It has no account or API key of its own and collects no usage data. Works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Cline (Cursor and Cline need Claude Code or Codex installed as the reviewer). Install with npx openqodex init. macOS and Linux, Node 22 or newer.
Key Features
2. A separate AI reviewer must rule on every scanner finding
3. Every changed line is given to the reviewer
4. Push gate and git pre-push hook warn by default, and block only if you set review.block_on_severity
5. Code graph gives your agent a map of your codebase

Best For
• Teams who want scanner findings checked by a separate AI reviewer, not by the agent that wrote the code
• Open source maintainers who review AI-written changes
• Engineers who want review on their own Claude Code or Codex login, with no extra account
• Developers who want a push hook that warns, or blocks, when a change hasn't been reviewed
• Agent builders who want code-graph tools (callers, impact, routes, tests) through MCP
• Privacy-conscious teams who want open source (Apache 2.0) with no telemetry and an offline mode
